On November 5, 2013, Dr. Eboo Patel, founder of the Interfaith Youth Core, came for the seventh installment of our Living Peace Series. Addressing a crowd of 500 people, Eboo Patel shared insights from his work with local communities working toward pluralism, and encouraged people to focus on their similarities, rather than their differences. He explained that we aren’t as different as we might think, and that we are all are united by “Compassion. The centrality of compassion,” and asked the audience to think about whether or not “we going to be able to make the move and find things that we think are precious and in common” and work together toward solving our differences.
